Just a few of todays Random Thoughts…
It’s that time of year when I don’t think about things like…why I moved from Florida to Tennessee, or about looking for jobs out in the workforce again. It is so very beautiful here in the spring, summer and fall, that thoughts of wanting to go back to Florida seem to disappear into the crisp mountain air.
As for the idea of getting back into the workplace, thats pretty well not even an option any more. My Agency business has grown to a point where I couldn’t just quit doing it or even try to do the work at night. And now with the opening of the Black Bear Art Gallery, I am certainly not able to ponder those idiotic thoughts anymore. Like most people I have talked to, it seems that after a few years of being self employed, that it is almost impossible to retrain your mind into the idea of going back to work for someone again.
The house seems so empty now that all the art has been moved to the gallery, but at least it can sell from the gallery. this being a good thing, since it keeps me motivated to create new works, as for when I was working from home I created only 1 new work in a year and since having a new gallery open I have created 3 new works in the first month. With the addition of the huge Giclee printer, I can also make some pieces that are much much larger than before. So instead of 3 pieces over the fireplace, I can now put one big piece of it.
Now I need to figure how to get the funds to buy the New Nikon D300 that I want. My trusty old D100 is still working great, but with the image size that the new D Series will capture, it is even better suited to my producing very large prints.
