I recently blogged about making New Years Resolutions, and here it is the second of january and time to start accomplishing those resolutions. Of course, for me that could be a problem because I haven’t really established any firm life changes or accomplishments that I need to carry out. During the time I type out this blog I am assuming that I will also figure out just what my resolutions may be.
I have been trying to think back over the years of some previous resolutions to determine if they were completed, forgotten or not quite so successful. And the first one that comes to mind was from about fifteen years or so ago. I had visioned the creation of a table top photo book with some tidbits of text thrown in. The books title… “Random Thinking”.
At the time I first determined I wanted to produce the book, there was no digital press companies like shutterfly or any of the other book makers. So now, many years later, the possibility of producing the book is very real and somewhat low cost to make. At least one for me to look at and display, and if the price could be something that was within reason, I could even produce several dozen books. So if anything, I can say this one never fulfilled resolution would be at the top of my list for 2010.
The typical resolutions like, getting in shape, losing weight, stop doing this or start doing that… well, I guess so. But I doubt I will make enough effort to do the gym thing on a regular basis. Especially since I joined one last month, and made it there about 4 times and haven’t found the motivation to keep up the routine. And yes I would love to drop off about ten pounds, and thats maybe more likely to happen that the muscle building. I don’t curse, drink or smoke, so then I don’t need to “stop” doing any of those things.
There are a few things I hope to have settled by 2011, but I am not sure I am going to claim these as resolutions. But, I would like to have my relationship issues or non issues finally taken care of. Which basically means that I would like to not spend the rest of my life alone with cats. I would also like to figure out how to get a new Chevy since my current one has about 105 thousand miles on it. And it is the longest I have ever owned or driven in my entire life. I bought the car just over five years ago and have put 50 thousand miles on it. And to round off the big three of personal wishes… I hope to have another gallery by the time 2011 rolls around.
And there you have it… you could consider any or all of the above desires to be resolutions, and I will make it a point hopefully to accomplish all four items.
